STEAM-The Science of today, is the technology of tomorrow
Adding an interdisciplinary approach to the curriculum enhances the learning of students.
STEAM is an integration of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. The
purpose of STEAM is to improve the analytical skills of children and develop a scientific
temper amongst them at an early age.
Debate participation promotes problem solving and critical thinking, and helps students to
build links between words and ideas
that make concepts more meaningful. While public
speaking instils a sense of confidence in children while helping them to form connections
and motivate change.
Working collaboratively, instead of individually, helps improve productivity and
gives students a sense of purpose within a team.
It also aids in brainstorming for ideas to solve an existing problem thereby improving the problem solving skills of children.
Creativity fosters mental growth in children by providing opportunities for trying out new ideas, and new ways of thinking and problem-solving.
Critical thinking helps students to make good decisions, understand the consequences of our actions and solve problems.
