From the Desk of the Principal - Enhanced Family Bonding

Dear Parents,

Greetings from NPS Uttarahalli!

At this juncture, while we face uncertain times together due to the pandemic, I would like to reach out to all of you. I hope that you and your family are keeping safe and healthy.

Although we are under lockdown, we are available over the phone and email to ensure smooth communication

Below are the key updates for our students and parents:

• Text books are ready for distribution and we will intimate the collection schedule keeping in view the safety precautions in due course.
• For uniforms, from the 1st week of May 2021 you may log in to the online store via the website www.vivektailors.com, Ph: +91-6360494990. Further details of Vivek Tailors will be communicated shortly through email as well as school website.
• We will be commencing Virtual Classes on a regular basis until we receive further Government notice about physical reopening of school. It is advised to have the following equipment ready – Laptop/desktop/Ipad/smartphone. Internet connection is a must. The detailed schedule will be intimated.

We understand that the guardians of our children are once again challenged to become Super Parents with the responsibility to engage young minds fruitfully as well as maintain an emotional balance.

While the world comes to terms with coronavirus, families reset their values. We realise how important it is to share responsibilities at home and enjoy doing things together. We will perhaps never take for granted the importance of our caregivers and helpers.

From this perspective, there are a range of activities that would be holistic additions to the student and family's routine. Some would enhance family bonding, some would integrate IQ development, some would boost EQ development ,some would channelize creative energy and more.

• Cooking and Baking with the family (with exposure to the science behind it!)
• Game likes Scrabble, Chess, Crytograms (enhance logical and lateral thinking)
• Reading books (takes the crown, so to speak, add to it by coming up with alternate endings together!)
• Pursue a hobby – Origami, calligraphy, craft, music, painting, etc
• Yoga for beginners (Physical, mental and spiritual awareness starts young)
• Make a collage of family pictures (Activate creative juices)
• Activity for a cause – Recycling, waste segregation, saving resources (Helping others and helping the environment produces Happiness Hormones like Serotonin and Dopamine)
• Diary/Journal writing (Allow self-reflection and self-expression)
• Grow potted plants and document the observations (enjoy the literal fruits of their work and the science behind it too)

We have also partnered with Logiqids for a NO COST Summer Programme to enhance the aptitude and logical thinking skills of our students. The details of this programme will be sent to you by email shortly.

In the meantime, our teachers continue to refine teaching methodologies preparing for the new academic session. The faculty will ensure that time lost is gained back with effective learning and teaching techniques.

We will overcome this crisis carrying the positives with us – family bonding, heightened emotional quotient, managing with limited resources, virtual world connect, focus on hygiene and health.

Kindly note that we are transitioning from the present digital platform Edchemy and moving to a new platform. Parents will receive new log in credentials.

Through the new Parent Portal we will guide you regarding school schedules, updates and changes as they arise.
